Policy & Market Trends: Improving Small Wind’s Bottom Line
eFormative Options teamed up the North Carolina Solar Center, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, an the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to analyze the policy and market trends for the small wind energy industry. With funding from the US Department of Energy under Award DE EE0000503, the gathered industry information on changing small wind policies and incentives, market trends in each state, and developed a pro-forma based web tool to examine the impacts of policies in individual states. Matthew Gagne of eFormative Options and Alice Orrell of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory presented a poster presenting the results of the project at AWEA’s 2011 WINDPOWER conference in Anaheim, California.
